It is said saints rivers and schools have a modest beginning. They grow to influence largely. This is apt in the case of Syrian Jacobite Public School, which made its humble beginning in 1993.
Built on Christian faith,S.J.P.S. caters to the educational needs of students irrespective of their caste, creed, region or religion. It is heartening to learn that S.J.P.S. has produced excellent results consistently. The scintillating, serene and sprawling campus is conducive for holistic education. On campus hostel facilities for boys and girls under close monitoring and mentoring of wardens and dorm parents and round the clock presence of Principal in campus speak volumes about the security of our students. Though attrition of teachers is a universal phenomenon, it has not affected S.J.P.S. Such is the commitment of our teachers.
COVID 19 has constrained regular school education but paved the way for online classes. We have already started online classes for Classes IX to XII. We must move on amidst threats and challenges created by COVID. Founder of Ali Baba Group, Jack Ma’s words are relevant in this context, ‘Never give up, today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine’. Let us be optimistic. I have accepted the position of academic director, knowing full well that there are many areas for improvement. Principal, teachers and parents are collaborators in moulding our students. Let us not fail in our bounden duty. I will leave no stones unturned in our concerted effort to raise the bar.
‘Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find knock and it will be opened to you’ Matthew Ch 7 Vs 7.
May God Almighty bless us all in our pursuit for excellence. Let S.J.P.S. be a name to reckon with in the educational arena.
